A new species of the genus Chaloenus Westwood, 1861 from Java (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae: Alticini) [PDF]
Chaloenus (Priostomus) lopatini sp. n. from Java is described. The new species is compared with Chaloenus unicostatus Jacoby, 1884. Attribution to the subgenus Priostomus Jacoby is discussed.

Abstract Non‐crop vegetation areas in agricultural landscapes are vital for maintaining biodiversity. However, they potentially host pest insects, which can cause economic loss in crop fields. Some insect species have been found to spill into crops from these areas, but this varies depending on species, landscape composition and the time of the season.

Role of body size and shape in animal camouflage
In this review, we analyzed the research on the impact of animal body size and shape on their camouflage and outlined existing research issues and challenges. Overall, we found a negative correlation between body size and the effectiveness of disruptive coloration and background matching as camouflage strategies.

Crepidodera bella Parry (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Alticini), previously known only from Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, and Louisiana, is discovered in central Maryland. This species is sympatric with C. browni Parry on Salix nigra growing along swamps in the McKee-Besher Wildlife Management Area (398049300N, 778239000W).
