Intermetallic Aluminide Coatings by Magnetron Sputtering
It was studied the ways of obtaining the aluminide intermetallic coatings of Al-Ag, Al-Ti, Al-Cr, Al-V and Al-Mn systems by method of simultaneous magnetron sputtering of the reagents. It was produced the synthesis of coatings from stable phases AlAg2 +Ag3Al, AlCr2, Al8Cr5, AlCr2 + Al8Cr5, AlTi, AlTi3, Al8Mn5.

RuAl Thin‐Film Deposition by DC Magnetron Sputtering
The synthesis and influence of deposition parameters on the corresponding microstructure of single‐phase RuAl in B2 structure is examined via transmission electron microscopy analysis and X‐ray diffraction with additional pole figure measurements. These are correlated to mechanical properties of the magnetron‐sputtered thin films.

Study of Plasma Spray Alumina -Aluminide Composite Coating on Metals [PDF]
The investigation is devoted to development of nickel aluminide and iron aluminide coatings on various metal substrates viz. aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel and copper, using locally available and commercial grade aluminum, nickel and iron powders.

The graphical abstract demonstrates that adding 9 wt% nickel to an Al‐Si matrix composite increases hardness by 25.93%, tensile strength by 40.3%, and density by 6.01%, but decreases impact strength by 50% compared to the A413 alloy. It includes SEM images, a stir casting schematic, and data on tensile and impact behavior.

Hot corrosion is encountered in turbine engines, where Co‐based superalloys are proposed to replace Ni‐based materials. In the present study, the hot corrosion resistance of γ/γ′ superalloys of the Co–Ni–Al–W alloys was increased by their Co and W content.

An Assessment of the Mechanical Strengths of Aluminide-based Thin Coatings [PDF]
ABSTRACTTitanium aluminide and nickel aluminide-based thin coatings were synthesized by magnetron sputtering from intermetallic TiAl and Ni3Al alloy targets on nickel substrates. Both types of aluminide coatings exhibited high surface hardness values that varied with the degree of heat treatment.
