In-situ Formed Aluminium Composites
1998In-situ formed composites normally consist of a dispersion of thermodynamically stable particles yielding isotropic properties. These materials are thus superior at elevated temperatures. The present paper reviews recent developments in the field of in-situ formed particles, especially Al/(carbide or boride) materials.
