Aluminium phosphide poisoning: haemodynamic observations.

open access: yesIndian heart journal, 1992
Haemodynamic measurements were made on 25 patients with aluminium phosphide poisoning. There was severe hypotension (mean arterial pressure 62.7 +/- 19.3 mmHg) and reduction in cardiac output (2.13 +/- 0.9 lit/min/m2). However, the systemic vascular resistance was only moderately elevated (2050 +/- 732 dynes/m2). The right atrial pressure was increased

Aluminium in Infrastructures

open access: yes, 2016
Aluminium alloys are used in infrastructures such as pedestrian bridges or parts of it such as handrail. This paper demonstrates that aluminium alloys are in principle also suited for heavy loaded structures, such as decks of traffic bridges and ...

An experimental study on cardiotoxicity of aluminium phosphide.

open access: yesIndian journal of experimental biology, 1998
Aluminium phosphide(AlP), a grain fumigant pesticide, was studied for its cardiotoxicity in anaesthetised rats. The hemodynamic and cardiac biochemical changes were investigated following intragastric administration of different doses of AlP (10, 20 and 40 mg). With 10 and 20 mg dose of AlP an immediate fall in BP was observed which recovered partially
