Aluminum compounds as vaccine adjuvants

Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, 1998
Aluminum compounds are the only adjuvants used widely with routine human vaccines and are the most common adjuvants in veterinary vaccines also. Though there has been a search for alternate adjuvants, aluminum adjuvants will continue to be used for many years due to their good track record of safety, low cost and adjuvanticity with a variety of ...

Aluminum Bases for the Highly Chemoselective Preparation of Aryl and Heteroaryl Aluminum Compounds

Angewandte Chemie - International Edition, 2009
AbstractSelective CH activation with a series of neutral aluminum trisamide bases led to a wide range of polyfunctional aryl and heteroaryl aluminum reagents. Ester and cyano groups are stable under the reaction conditions for this direct alumination, and donor oxygen substituents are efficient directing groups. High metalation regioselectivities were

Anhydrous Aluminum Carbonates and Isostructural Compounds

Inorganic Chemistry, 2023
We synthesized the inorganic anhydrous aluminum carbonates Al2[C2O5][CO3]2 and Al2[CO3]3 by reacting Al2O3 with CO2 at high pressures and temperatures and characterized them by Raman spectroscopy. Their structures were solved by X-ray diffraction. Al2[CO3]3 forms at around 24-28 GPa, while Al2[C2O5][CO3]2 forms above 38(3) GPa.

A Stable Neutral Compound with an Aluminum–Aluminum Double Bond

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2017
Homodinuclear multiple-bonded neutral Al compounds, aluminum analogues of alkenes, have been a notoriously difficult synthetic target over the past several decades. Herein, we report the isolation of a stable neutral compound featuring an Al═Al double bond stabilized by N-heterocyclic carbenes.

Coordination compounds of aluminum as precursors to aluminum nitride

Coordination Chemistry Reviews, 1993
Abstract Two different systems have been examined as potential sources of aluminum nitride, an important electronic and structural ceramic material. Cyclic organoaluminum amides obtained as intermediates in the thermolysis of trialkylaluminum : ammonia Lewis acid-base complexes have been used to obtain AlN powder and as precursors for the chemical ...

Aluminum Phenylphosphonates:  A Fertile Family of Compounds

Inorganic Chemistry, 1998
Six aluminum phenylphosphonates have been synthesized depending upon the synthetic conditions: Al(2)(O(3)PC(6)H(5))(3).2H(2)O (I), Al(2)(O(3)PC(6)H(5))(3) (II), alpha-Al(HO(3)PC(6)H(5))(O(3)PC(6)H(5)).H(2)O (III), beta-Al(HO(3)PC(6)H(5))(O(3)PC(6)H(5)).H(2)O (IV), Al(HO(3)PC(6)H(5))(3).H(2)O (V), and Al(OH)(O(3)PC(6)H(5)) (VI).

The Health Effects of Aluminum Compounds in Mammals

CRC Critical Reviews in Toxicology, 1984
This review, which is based on evaluation of information published in the last decade related to the health effects of aluminum compounds in mammals, directs attention to the well-documented effects of A1(III) compounds on phosphate metabolism. It is suggested that the toxic effects currently associated with A1(III) compounds are dependent upon the ...
