Detoxification of endotoxin by aluminum hydroxide adjuvant

Vaccine, 2001
Langmuir adsorption isotherms of endotoxin and aluminum-containing adjuvants at pH 7.4 and 25 degrees C revealed that aluminum hydroxide adjuvant has a greater adsorption capacity (283 microg/mg Al) and adsorption coefficient (1.3x10(4) ml/miccrog) than aluminum phosphate adjuvant (3.0 microg/mg Al, 0.20 ml/microg).

Perchlorate removal by acidified zero-valent aluminum and aluminum hydroxide

Chemosphere, 2010
Removal of perchlorate using either acid-washed zero-valent aluminum or aluminum hydroxide was studied in batch reactors under ambient temperature and pressure. Approximately 90-95% of perchlorate was removed within 24h in the presence of 35 g L(-1) aluminum at acidic pH (4.5+/-0.2).

AUREOMYCIN AND ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE

Journal of the American Medical Association, 1949
To the Editor:— Aureomycin given orally is effective in many microbial infections. The simultaneous oral administration of aluminum hydroxide gel and aureomycin will in some instances reduce the epigastric distress, nausea and vomiting that occasionally occur when aureomycin is given alone.

Aluminum chlorohydrate III: Conversion to aluminum hydroxide

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1981
Bayerite, an aluminum hydroxide polymorph, readily forms when the hydroxyl to aluminum ratio of aluminum chlorohydrate is raised to 3 by titration with sodium hydroxide. Dilution of aluminum chlorhydrate solutions with water leads to the formation of gibbsite, another aluminum hydroxide polymorph. The mechanism of conversion in each instance is related

Microstructure of Aluminum Hydroxides and the Formation of Aluminum Dye Lakes

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1984
The effect of processing variables on the type of aluminum hydroxide and the dye content of the resultant lakes were investigated. The solid-state structure of aluminum lakes in conjunction with the associated aluminum hydroxide was studied by electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and IR spectroscopy. The conditions under which the aluminum hydroxide
