Dynamics of Coagulation of Clay Particles with Aluminum Sulfate
A novel optical technique is used to investigate the dynamics of coagulation of particle suspensions with aluminum salt. The relative size of aggregates formed during coagulation, expressed as a “coagulation index,” can be continuously measured by this technique.

Influence of aluminum sulfate on properties and hydration of magnesium potassium phosphate cements [PDF]
Aluminum sulfate shows a positive effect on preventing efflorescence of magnesium potassium phosphate (MKP) cements. Its influence on the MKP cement properties and hydration is explored in this study.

Recently, the Pitzer interaction model was used to calculate aluminium potassium sulfate dodecahydrate solubility products from published solubility data. The model preformed poorly, reflected by a marked increase in values with decreasing solution potassium content.

Kinetics of the Decomposition of Freeze‐Dried Aluminum Sulfate and Ammonium Aluminum Sulfate
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1971Conventional thermoanalytical techniques confirmed earlier studies on the stoichiometry of the decomposition of aluminum sulfate and ammonium aluminum sulfate (alum). The kinetics of the sulfate decomposition of freeze‐dried aluminum sulfate, of sieve fractions of reagent grade aluminum sulfate, and of freeze‐dried alum were studied isothermally at ...

The standard enthalpies, entropies, and Gibbs energies of formation from elements were calculated for compounds in the Al-S-O-H system. The thermodynamic parameters of minerals, aluminum sulfates and hydroxide sulfates with water of crystallization, were recommended on the basis of analysis of calculation errors. The reliability of the resulting values

Aluminum dross tailings, an industrial waste from the Egyptian Aluminium Company (Egyptalum), were used to produce two types of alums, namely, aluminum sulfate alum and ammonium aluminum alum via two separate processes. The first process involved leaching the impurities using dilute H2SO4 at different solid/liquid ratios and temperatures in the form of

The Thermal Decomposition of Aluminum Sulfate and Hafnium Sulfate
Thermochimica Acta, 1972Abstract The thermal decomposition of aluminum sulfate and hafnium sulfate was studied in air by thermogravimetric analysis (TG) and in vacuum by simultaneous TG and evolved gas analysis (EGA). No SO 3 was detected by the mass spectrometer. The primary products of decomposition appear to be SO and O 2 for both sulfates.

Effects of aluminum sulfate on erythropoiesis in rats
Toxicology Letters, 2002The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of chronically administered aluminum on erythropoiesis in rats. After treatment (i.p. injections of Al(2)(SO(4))(3), 50 micromol/kg body weight, five times a week) for 3 months, the treated (Al) group showed significantly decreased hemoglobin concentration (32%) and hematocrit (24%) compared with the

Composite coagulant based on titanyl sulfate and aluminum sulfate
Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2015Coagulating precipitation of particles from a mixed water dispersion of microcrystalline cellulose and UTiO2 with a composite coagulating agent based on titanyl sulfate and aluminum sulfate was studied. The optimal conditions of this process (coagulant concentration, pH) were determined.
