Behavior of aluminum in aluminum welders and manufacturers of aluminum sulfate—impact on biological monitoring

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2008
The suitability of determining aluminum in serum or urine as a form of biological monitoring was critically assessed.Airborne and internal aluminum exposure was assessed for 12 aluminum welders in a shipyard and 5 manufacturers of aluminum sulfate. Particles were characterized with X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Aluminum in air and

Roll‐to‐Roll Processable EC/TC Hybrid Smart Windows Driven by a Bidirectional Dual‐Chromic Polymer Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a scalable EC/TC hybrid smart window using a DCPE that enables tunable solar modulation (ΔTsol:15–43%), fast electrochromic switching (<90 s), and strong thermal blocking (10–14°C reduction). HPMC improves thermal stability, while an optimized ISL enhances EC performance.

UTILIZATION OF DRINKING WATER TREATMENT SLUDGE TO PRODUCE ALUMINUM SULFATE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Science, 2016
In Egypt, water treatment industry consumes about 365,000 tons of aluminum sulfate as coagulant and produces more than 100 million tons of semidried sludge per year. The common disposal system of alum sludge in Egypt is to discharge it into natural water

CO2‐to‐CO Conversion in a Gas‐Fed, Zero‐Gap, PEM Electrolyzer Enabled by Polycations and Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon‐Supported Cobalt Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gas‐fed, zero‐gap, PEM CO2 electrolyzer is realized by incorporating PDDA+ ions onto the carbonaceous Co/N‐C electrocatalyst, with gaseous H2 and CO2 fed into the anode and cathode, respectively. Operating without an aqueous electrolyte, the system sustains a peak FECO of 65.1% at 100 mA cm−2. ABSTRACT Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction (ECO2R)

The demulsification effect of demulsifier containing aluminum sulfate on emulsion of wire-drawing oil

open access: yesGongye shui chuli
Aluminum sulfate was used as a demulsifier to demulsify the lad-made emulsion of wire-drawing oil with different concentration. After demulsification, the COD,turbidity and pH value were measured, and the removal rate were calculated.

Desert Plant Inspired Hierarchical Nanofibrous Membranes for Integrated Solar Desalination and Heavy Metal Remediation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An Alhagi maurorum inspired hierarchical composite membrane (NFCu) was developed by integrating heavy metal remediation and solar‐driven interfacial evaporation in a single platform. Beyond the photothermal effect, a localized photocatalytic process is realized on the CuO surface, deepening the mechanistic understanding of light–matter–water ...
