Research and performance testing of expansive resin anchor agent
To solve the problem of difficult high-strength bonding between ordinary resin anchoring agents and surrounding rocks under conditions such as soft and fractured rock mass and geological structures, this study proposes a method of adding expansion agents

The Use of Zeta Potential Measurement in Surface Water Coagulation Process Optimization
The object of the research was surface water taken directly from the Mała Panew river. Zeta potential was measured in dependence of the inflicted coagulant dose. Four types of aluminum-based coagulants were used in this research: aluminum sulfate (Alum),

Roles of Aluminum Sulfate in Rosin Sizing
Roles of aluminum components originating from aluminum sulfate (alum) in rosin sizing were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence analysis and pyrolysis gas chromatography. Handsheets were prepared with 1% alum and 1% anionic rosin emulsion, where the stirring time of pulp suspensions at pH 6.7 or pH 4.5 between the alum ...

Thermoradiative Diodes Using Black Phosphorus van der Waals Materials
We demonstrate thermoradiative diodes based on black phosphorus (bP${\rm bP}$)/molybdenum disulfide (MoS2$MoS_2$) van der Waals heterojunctions which generate power by exchanging photons with a colder environment. The bandgap of black phosphorus is well positioned to exchange photons with outer space through the mid‐wave atmospheric window.

How small changes to methylated piperidinium cations impact the synthesis of zeolite SSZ‐39
Abstract Here we report a synthesis study of SSZ‐39 with four different organic structure directing agents (OSDA). The goal was to determine how subtle changes to the OSDA architecture impact crystallization kinetics, material composition, and other properties.

A machine learning framework simultaneously predicts four critical properties of monomers for emulsion polymerization: propagation rate constant, reactivity ratios, glass transition temperature, and water solubility. These tools can be used to systematically identify viable bio‐based monomer pairs as replacements for conventional formulations, with ...

Combinatorial Roles of Heparan Sulfate Proteoglycans and Heparan Sulfates in Caenorhabditis elegans Neural Development [PDF]
Heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) play critical roles in the development and adult physiology of all metazoan organisms. Most of the known molecular interactions of HSPGs are attributed to the structurally highly complex heparan sulfate (HS) glycans.

This graphical abstract illustrates the study's schematic model. Adenosine monophosphate–activated protein kinase (AMPK) activators exhibited neuroprotection in the weight‐drop model of traumatic brain injury by improving cognition and regulating oxidative stress, microglial activation, and nucleotide‐binding oligomerization domain, leucine‐rich repeat,
