Listerin Alleviates Alzheimer's Disease through IRE1‐mediated Decay of TLR4 mRNA
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Alzheimer's disease (AD) progression is influenced by microglia‐mediated neuroinflammation. Here, it is demonstrated that Listerin suppresses neuroinflammatory signaling and cognitive impairment in AD models by triggering IRE1α‐mediated TLR4 mRNA decay. Adenoviral Listerin delivery reduces amyloid‐β pathology, positioning it as a new therapeutic target.Fei Qin, Runyu Cao, Xuemei Bai, Jiahua Yuan, Wanwei Sun, Yi Zheng, Xiaopeng Qi, Wei Zhao, Bingyu Liu, Chengjiang Gao +9 morewiley +1 more sourceAuthor Correction: In situ structure of a bacterial flagellar motor at subnanometre resolution reveals adaptations for increased torque. Advanced Science, EarlyView.Long‐term oral nicotine intake protects against age‐related motor decline in mice without eliciting systemic toxicity. Integrated multi‐organ metabolomic profiling and longitudinal gut microbiota analyses reveal that nicotine induces coordinated remodeling of glycolipid and sphingolipid metabolism, enhances NAD⁺ bioavailability, and suppresses ceramide Shuhui Jia, Xiaoyuan Jing, Ruoxi Wang, Mengke Su, Pei Wang, Yingxin Feng, Xiaohu Ren, Longfang Tu, Ping Wei, Zhen Lu, Yicong Jia, Feng Hong, Zhizhun Mo, Jiemeng Zou, Kang Huang, Caiyun Yan, Qianhui Zou, Liang Wang, Guoping Zhong, Zhi Zeng, Qiuliyang Yu, Wen Su, Xifei Yang, Fan Pan, Jianzhi Wang, Liping Wang, Lijun Kang, Paul J. Advanced Science, EarlyView. This study highlights the role of connexin43 (Cx43) in mediating glia activation and neuroinflammation in glaucoma. Using Cx43 knockout mice, it is shown that macroglial cells‐derived Cx43 modulates microglial activation, proliferation, migration, and polarization.Guoli Zhao, Zhen Li, Ming‐Jie Zhao, Shu‐Ying Li, Qing Xia, Shuoyu Xu, Yu Zhang, Yi Wang, Fang Li, Yu‐Ling Liu, Yun‐Hui Guo, Ruo‐Xi Xu, Han Zhou, Hong Zhou, Wen‐Wen Ding, Yong‐Chen Wang, Yanying Miao, Zhongfeng Wang +17 morewiley +1 more source
