Self‐Assembled Myricetin‐Arginine Conjugate Nanozymes for Targeted Suppression of Joint Inflammation and Osteoclastogenesis in Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Carrier‐free myricetin‐arginine conjugate nanozymes (MANZs) have been fabricated through a Mannich reaction and spontaneous self‐assembly. MANZs selectively accumulate in inflamed joints by targeting M1 macrophages via CAT2‐mediated uptake. The nanozymes can effectively modulate macrophage polarization, suppress osteoclast differentiation, and mitigate

Programming Next‐Generation Synthetic Biosensors by Genetic Circuit Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Synthetic biology enables genetic circuit‐based biosensing to detect diverse targets, process signals, and transduce them into readable outputs or intracellular regulatory activities. However, field deployment and real‐world application of such synthetic biosensors face considerable challenges in sensitivity, specificity, speed, stability, and ...

Phenotypic diversity of 101 durum wheat landrace populations collected from the oasis of the Oriental Atlas Mountains (Morocco) was studied. Nine characters (morphological and agronomic) were measured on the 3030 lines (30 lines per population).

Effect Differences of Omega‐3 Fatty Acids From Plant Oil and Fish Oil on Human Health

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
Omega‐3 fatty acids in plant oil is no less than fish oil on human health. ALA in plant oil takes directly healthy effects without conversion to DHA and EPA. Plant oil can be substitutes for fish oil to support partial ω‐3 fatty acids. For people who cannot afford fish oil, plant oil is also good for public health.

Poria cocos as a Functional Food for Diabetes and Diabetes‐Related Foot Ulcers

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
Poria cocos is known as an edible mushroom for food and medicine. Poria cocos and its terpenes and terpenoids serve as novel remedies to treat diabetes and its ulcers. Its mode of actions includes reduction of insulin resistance, starch digestion and inflammation as well as promotion of blood vessel formation. ABSTRACT Poria cocos is a medicinal fungus

Association mapping for aluminum tolerance in candidate regions of the AltSB locus in sorghum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The toxicity caused by Aluminum (Al) is one of the most limiting factors for crop growth and development on acid soils. In sorghum, allelic variation at the AltSB locus accounts for nearly 80% of the phenotypic variation for the trait in some mapping ...
