Mortality from lung cancer and respiratory failure in US adults declined until 2010 but increased thereafter, with notable disparities by sex, race, region, and urbanicity. This 24‐year analysis highlights rising post‐2010 mortality in women, non‐Hispanic Whites, and urban areas, underscoring the need for targeted public health interventions.
