This article discusses how Greeks perceived Salvador Allende's overthrow, Pinochet's military dictatorship, and US interventionism in Chile. By the end of Greece's dictatorship (1967–1974), left‐wing militants emotionally identified with the ‘Chilean tragedy’ through their own experiences of military authoritarianism.

Biosafety legislation and the regulatory status of the products of precision breeding in the Latin America and the Caribbean region

Precision breeding represents a new challenge for biosafety regulators when applying the legal definition of living modified organisms (LMOs) in accordance with their domestic biosafety legislation.
