Enhancing Small Molecule Sensing With Aptameric Functionalized Nano Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Unveiling an ultra‐sensitive, non‐invasive neurotransmitter sensor. For the first time, a nanoscale sensor for detecting an important neurotransmitter was demonstrated using micro‐electromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. Our approach utilized field‐effect transistor (FET)‐based readout to enable pico‐molar detection of biomarkers in sweat.

Ambient Assisted Living

Proceedings of the 1st ACM international workshop on Semantic ambient media experiences, 2008
The quality of care practice is difficult to judge. Indeed, support and care provision is very personal, i.e., assessments are individual and lead to specific care packages, involving social services, health workers, care agencies. We expect privacy in our own affairs and confidentially from those to whom we disclose them.

Ambient Assisted Living

2015
In the coming years, the world will experience an important demographic shift. The elderly population is growing due to increased life expectancy and decreasing birth rates. According to the United Nations, the elderly will make up around 36% of the European population by 2050. Disabilities and diseases are more prevalent with old age. Moreover, people

Live evaluation within ambient assisted living scenarios

Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on PErvasive Technologies Related to Assistive Environments, 2014
Ambient Assisted Living is a new challenge within evaluation processes. It represents high levels of data and a strong focus on the user itself by encompassing dynamical environments with contextual data and by offering several interaction modalities. In such scenarios, traditional question-answer processes fail short to retrieve the necessary amount ...
