Ambient Backscatter Communications Systems Using MFSK Modulation
2018 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC), 2018In this paper, we propose a novel M-ary frequency shift keying (MFSK) modulation scheme for the Tag in ambient backscatter communications system. Leveraging on the frequency shifting feature of the MFSK modulation, the direct interference from the ambient RF signal is removed with the assistance of a set of band-pass filters.

Enhancing ambient backscatter communication utilizing multiple antennas
2023Ambient backscatter communication (AmBC) leverages the existing ambient radio frequency (RF) environment to implement communication with battery-free devices, which has emerged as a promising solution to achieve green communication for future Internet of Things (IoT). The key challenge in the development of AmBC is that the signals backscattered by the

Coherent Passive Backscatter Communications Using Ambient Transmitters
International Journal of Handheld Computing Research, 2014A communications method is presented based on the backscatter modulation of incident radio frequency signals using low-complexity tags. The incident signals arise from digital television stations used as illuminators of opportunity. A receiver detects the tag using coherent processing algorithms similar to those used in passive radar, extending the ...
