MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Shot noise suppression at room temperature in atomic-scale Au junctions

open access: yes, 2010
Shot noise encodes additional information not directly inferable from simple electronic transport measurements. Previous measurements in atomic-scale metal junctions at cryogenic temperatures have shown suppression of the shot noise at particular ...

Diagonal Denoising for Spatially Correlated Noise Based on Diagonalization Decorrelation in Underwater Radiated Noise Measurement

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2022
In underwater radiated noise measurement using a vertical linear array, a diagonalization-decorrelation-based diagonal denoising method is proposed to improve the denoising effect for spatially correlated noise.

Emergent Spin‐Glass Behavior in an Iron(II)‐Based Metal–Organic Framework Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A one‐pot, solvent‐free synthesis yields an Fe2+‐based metal‐organic framework (MOF) glass featuring a continuous random network structure. The material exhibits spin‐glass freezing at 14 K, driven by topological‐disorder and short‐range magnetic frustration, showcasing the potential of MOF glasses as a plattform for cooperative magnetic phenomena in ...

Assessment of seismic station performance in north Chhattisgarh, India: a comprehensive ambient noise analysis

open access: yesGeomatics, Natural Hazards & Risk
A new network of 16 broadband seismic stations is operational in the northern Chhattisgarh region to monitor the seismicity arising in the otherwise seismically quiescent zone. Ambient noise is comprehensively analyzed to evaluate station performance and

PEDOT‐Based Eutectogel Electrode Arrays for Enhanced High‐Resolution Electrogastrography: Fabrication, Stability, and Wearable Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we present a high‐density PEDOT eutectogel electrode array for enhanced body surface gastric mapping. Silver electrodes are blade‐coated onto flexible substrates, followed by electrogelation of PEDOT:PSS and the deposition of a PEDOT:LS eutectogel.

Near Source Acoustical Particle Velocity Measurements with Ambient Noise [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
An acoustical measurement very near a structure can be a cheap alternative to other contactless vibration measurement techniques such as laser vibrometry.

Adaptation of Binaural Processing in the Adult Brainstem Induced by Ambient Noise [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Interaural differences in stimulus intensity and timing are major cues for sound localization. In mammals, these cues are first processed in the lateral and medial superior olive by interaction of excitatory and inhibitory synaptic inputs from ipsi- and ...

Formation of Stable Amorphous Calcium Phosphate and Collagen Assemblies by a Versatile Spray‐Drying Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) microparticles with long‐term and thermal stability are prepared with or without collagen using a scalable one‐pot spray‐drying process. Under simulated physiological conditions, they crystallize into biomimetic bone mineral and, when combined with collagen, form extrudable, fibrillar bone‐like 3D constructs.
