p75NTR Promotes Circadian‐Driven Mineralization During Tooth Development via CK2/PER2 Pathway
The diagram illustrates how the circadian rhythm regulates the p75NTR‐CK2‐PER2 axis, driving rhythmic biomineralisation during tooth development. ABSTRACT Circadian rhythm is an essential biological process that synchronises physiological activities with environmental light/dark cycles.

Enamel Proteases Reduce Amelogenin-Apatite Binding [PDF]
Organic matrix degradation and crystal maturation are extracellular events that occur simultaneously during enamel biomineralization. We hypothesized that enamel proteases control amelogenin-mineral interaction, which, in turn can affect crystal nucleation, organization, and growth.

Remineralization strategies in oral hygiene: a position paper of Italian Society of Oral Hygiene Sciences-S.I.S.I.O. working group [PDF]
Background/Objective: The clinical conditions that lead to an alteration of the enamel structure are numerous. The diet high in sugars and acidifying substances, psychological stress that triggers parafunctional behaviors, the reduced intake of fiber ...

A guide to the types, structures, and multifaceted functions of matrix metalloproteinases in cancer
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) orchestrate cancer progression and metastasis through proteolytic and non‐proteolytic actions. By remodeling the tumor microenvironment, enhancing growth factor availability, and modulating cell behavior, MMPs promote proliferation, migration or invasion, and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition. Alongside extracellular

Amelogenin in Enamel Tissue Engineering [PDF]
In this chapter the basic premises, the recent findings and the future challenges in the use of amelogenin for enamel tissue engineering are being discoursed on. Results emerging from the experiments performed to assess the fundamental physicochemical mechanisms of the interaction of amelogenin, the main protein of the enamel matrix, and the growing ...

Synergistic Roles of Amelogenin and Ameloblastin
Amelogenin and ameloblastin, the major enamel matrix proteins, are important for enamel mineralization. To identify their synergistic roles in enamel development, we generated Amel X −/− /Ambn −/− mice. These mice showed additional enamel defects in comparison with Amel X −/− or Ambn −/− mice.
