EVERY TOPOLOGICALLY AMENABLE LOCALLY COMPACT QUANTUM GROUP IS AMENABLE [PDF]
AbstractWe prove that every topologically amenable locally compact quantum group is amenable. This answers an open problem by Bédos and Tuset [‘Amenability and co-amenability for locally compact quantum groups’, Internat. J. Math.14 (2003), 865–884].

A dual‐layer living hydrogel, ProΦGel, integrates bacteriophages and probiotics for synergistic wound infection therapy. The outer gelatin‐based matrix releases phages on demand in response to P. aeruginosa infections, while inner alginate beads sustain probiotic delivery.

We report a polymer‐chain insertion strategy to fabricate pore‐threaded MOF thin films with precisely tuned surface chemistry and wettability. Grafting n‐alkane chains into the pillared layer Cu2(bdc)2(dabco) MOF thin film's vertical nanochannels enhances water stability, and induces hydrophobicity and lubricant‐free, solid‐like slippery behavior ...

Introduction: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in elderly patients differs biologically from that in younger patients and is known to have unfavorable chromosomal rearrangements, higher resistance, and lower tolerance to chemotherapy.

Algebraic Entropy of Elementary Amenable Groups [PDF]
We prove that any finitely generated elementary amenable group of zero (algebraic) entropy contains a nilpotent subgroup of finite index or, equivalently, any finitely generated elementary amenable group of exponential growth is of uniformly exponential growth.

This paper introduces a single‐channel H‐junction microfluidic assay that profiles fibrin's evolving function in repair and thrombosis by measuring, in one ∼3 µL gel, permeability, fibrinolysis kinetics, fibroblast invasion, and clot extension in real time.

Module amenability for Banach modules
We study the module amenability of Banach modules. This is a natural generalization of Johnson’s amenability of Banach algebras. As an example we show that for a discrete abelian group G, l p(G) is amenable as an l¹(G)-module if and only if G is amenable,

Fixed point characterization of left amenable Lau algebras
The present paper deals with the concept of left amenability for a wide range of Banach algebras known as Lau algebras. It gives a fixed point property characterizing left amenable Lau algebras 𝒜 in terms of left Banach 𝒜-modules.

Weak amenability of hyperbolic groups
We prove that hyperbolic groups are weakly amenable. This partially extends the result of Cowling and Haagerup showing that lattices in simple Lie groups of real rank one are weakly amenable. We take a combinatorial approach in the spirit of Haagerup and prove that for the word length distance d of a hyperbolic group, the Schur multipliers associated ...
