Ginsenosides from American ginseng: Chemical and pharmacological diversity [PDF]

open access: yesPhytochemistry, 2011
Ginseng occupies a prominent position in the list of best-selling natural products in the world. Compared to the long history of use and widespread research on Asian ginseng, the study of American ginseng is relatively limited. In the past decade, some promising advances have been achieved in understanding the chemistry, pharmacology and structure ...

Advanced Oral Delivery Systems for Nutraceuticals

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 31, December 8, 2025.
Emerging delivery technologies are explored to overcome barriers to oral nutraceutical absorption. Traditional carriers are compared with novel platforms including biodegradable polymers, MOFs, MPNs, and 3D printing. These systems enhance bioavailability, control release, and enable personalized nutrition.

The Equivalence of Microlens and Metalens for THz High Spatial‐Spectral Resolution Hyperspectral Imaging with a Large Field of View

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 36, December 19, 2025.
An ultrabroadband THz microlens with high resolution is presented and fabricated via commercially available 3D printing by transforming the phase profile into a thickness profile. The proposed method enables high‐fidelity THz hyperspectral imaging with high spatial and spectral resolution, representing a cost‐effective and reliable solution.

Transfer Learning and Permutation‐Invariance Improving Predicting Genome‐Wide, Cell‐Specific and Directional Interventions Effects of Complex Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 46, December 11, 2025.
SETComp, a transfer learning model based on permutation‐invariance, is pre‐trained on single‐compound intervention data and fine‐tuned on complex system (e.g., natural products) data. The model achieves up to 93.86% accuracy on complex system‐cell‐gene association predictions, outperforming the baseline by up to 27.59%.

Ginseng extract improves synaptic resiliency: A key factor for healthy cognitive aging

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Disruption of the autophagy‐lysosomal pathway (ALP) compromises proteostasis and contributes to aging‐related proteinopathy. Many studies indicate that a healthy diet can improve cognitive health and reduce the risk of Alzheimer‐type pathogenesis.
