Microwave assisted synthesis, antifungal activity, and DFT study of some novel triazolinone derivatives. [PDF]

open access: yesBiomed Res Int, 2015
A series of some novel 1,2,4‐triazol‐5(4H)‐one derivatives were designed and synthesized under microwave irradiation via multistep reaction. The structures of 1,2,4‐triazoles were confirmed by 1H NMR, MS, FTIR, and elemental analysis. The antifungal activities of 1,2,4‐triazoles were determined.

Soybean plant-back following an amicarbazone and metribuzin application for corn

open access: yesWeed Technology
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed increased restrictions and lower application rates for atrazine. Corn growers need to have options for weed control, and increased scrutiny of atrazine may limit effective herbicides that inhibit the ...

Mesotrione and Amicarbazone Tank-mixtures for Annual Bluegrass (Poa annua) Control in Cool-season Turfgrass

open access: yesHortScience, 2021
Annual bluegrass (Poa annua L.) control with postemergence herbicides in cool-season turfgrass is often inconsistent. Amicarbazone and mesotrione have complementary modes of action but have not been evaluated in tank-mixtures for control of mature annual

Developing and implementing a sustainable, integrated weed management program for herbicide‐resistant Poa annua in turfgrass

open access: yesCrop, Forage &Turfgrass Management, Volume 9, Issue 1, June 2023., 2023
Abstract The ability of Poa annua L. to adapt to most turfgrass environments extends to its ability to develop resistance to commonly used herbicides. Herbicide resistant P. annua is of almost epidemic proportions. The loss of once viable chemical‐based treatments pushes practitioners towards more expensive, and often less effective, control strategies.

Response of drought susceptible and resistant Kentucky bluegrass and tall fescue cultivars and mixtures to limited irrigation

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 62, Issue 5, Page 2024-2034, September/October 2022., 2022
Abstract Water consumption and supply for the urban landscape continues to be a concern for many communities throughout the United States. A 2‐yr field study was conducted in the cool‐humid region to determine the irrigation requirements of drought sensitive (DS) and drought resistant (DR) Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.; KBG) and tall fescue ...

Tall Fescue and Perennial Ryegrass Reseeding Intervals for Amicarbazone [PDF]

open access: yesHortScience, 2011
Turf managers applying amicarbazone for annual bluegrass ( Poa annua L.) control in cool-season turfgrasses may wish to reseed into treated areas. Field experiments were conducted in Georgia and Tennessee to investigate perennial ryegrass ( Lolium perenne

Chemical control of morning glory as a function of water restriction levels [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2014
Among the herbicides recommended for the dry season and registered to sugarcane crop, amicarbazone, isoxaflutole and the association diuron + hexazinone + sulfomethuron-methyl can be highlighted. These are pre-emergence herbicides efficient against broad-
