Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Scalable synthesis of (1-cyclopropyl)cyclopropylamine hydrochloride

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2011
1-Cyclopropylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid (2), which is accessible on a large scale (900 mmol) from 1-bromo-1-cyclopropylcyclopropane (1) in 64% yield (89% on a 12.4 mmol scale), has been subjected to a Curtius degradation employing the Weinstock protocol

Effects of Trace Amines on the Dopaminergic Mesencephalic System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Trace amines (TAs) are a class of endogenous compounds, which are heterogeneously distributed throughout the mammalian brain and peripheral nervous tissues, despite being at relatively low levels. It is now largely accepted that TAs are not pure inactive

A Single-Step Synthesis of Azetidine-3-Amines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The azetidine group is frequently encountered within contemporary medicinal chemistry where it is viewed as a privileged structure. However, the introduction of an azetidine can be synthetically challenging.

Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Sustainable Synthesis of Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks at Room Temperature in Water with Exact Zn/Linker Stoichiometry

open access: yesNanomaterials
Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) are widely used MOFs because of certain characteristics, but also because they can be prepared at room temperature using water as the unique solvent.

Direct oxidative phosphonylation of amines under metal-free conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Direct oxidation coupling of tertiary amines and dialkyl- or diphenyl-substituted phosphonates was developed. The reaction was mediated by DDQ under room temperature. Various phosphonates and N-aryl tetrahydroisoquinolines were tolerated in this reaction,
