The amino acid composition of rat bile

Experientia, 1977
The pattern of amino acids in the bile of rats differs from the pattern in the serum of these animals, since bile contains significantly greater amounts of acidic and sulphur-containing amino acids and glycine than serum, while the serum contained more basic amino acids than bile, indicating that secretion of amino acids into bile may involve specific ...

Amino acid compositions of pleistocene collagens

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1975
Abstract 1. 1. Incubation studies reveal marked differences of amino acid compositions in Pleistocene deer antler. 2. 2. A decrease in the degradation rate of fossil collagen with time is apparent. After substantial degradation a remnant collagen is produced whose composition may reflect the thermal stabilities of its constituent molecules.

Amino Acid Composition of Cereal and Oilseed

Food / Nahrung, 1973
AbstractQuantitative amino acid composition of acid hydrolysates was determined for samples of some Polish varieties of cereal grain (wheat, rye, barley, oats, millet and buckwheat) and oilseed (rapeseed, sunflower, poppy and soybean). Comparison of investigated genera was done.

Amino acid compositions of proteins and their identities

ELECTROPHORESIS, 1995
AbstractA critical overview is given on the application of amino acid composition data for the establishment of the protein's identity (amino acids composition vs. protein identity, the AAC‐PI method). Several criteria are used to measure the differences between the amino acid compositions of various proteins. The AAC‐PI method unambigiously identifies

Amino-acid composition in trichorrhexis nodosa

Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, 1990
Trichorrhexis nodosa is a common shaft defect affecting scalp hair. Two-hundred scalp hairs exhibiting trichorrhexis nodosa were obtained from two normal females; samples were prepared from proximal shaft, pre-nodule, nodule and post-nodule sections and analysed for their respective amino-acid compositions.
