The recycling of expired aminocaproic acid injection for mint-leaf-like zinc aminocaproate [PDF]
In this work, a zinc (Zn) aminocaproate complex was extracted from expired aminocaproic acid injection by way of one-step facile chemical liquid-phase deposition for the first time, and the morphology, microstructure and electrochemical lithium (Li)-storage performances were also investigated.

Cardiovascular studies on aminocaproic acid
Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 1966Abstract The blood pressures of conscious rats and dogs were generally unaffected by single and repeated oral administration of aminocaproic acid. An exception was that renal hypertensive dogs showed a moderate increase in mean pressure 2 hours following a dose of 100 mg/kg.

Pharmacokinetics of aminocaproic acid in thoroughbred horses
Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2023AbstractThe antifibrinolytic agent aminocaproic acid (ACA) is occasionally used prior to episodes of intense training in racehorses suffering from exercise‐induced pulmonary hemorrhage. Although a previous study indicated that the drug is cleared rapidly in horses, some racetrack practitioners claim that recent adverse analytical findings for ACA in ...

Epsilon-Aminocaproic Acid (EACA)
Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, 2008Epsilon-aminocaproic acid (EACA) is a synthetic inhibitor of the plasmin-plasminogen system. It is the only potent antifibrinolytic agent which is commercially available in the United States. Effective blood levels of the drug are readily obtainable with either oral or intravenous administration, with very high levels of the drug being found in the ...

Seizure After Infusion of Aminocaproic Acid
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1978AMINOCAPROIC acid is a useful agent in the management of hemophilia, particularly following extensive dental manipulations. The drug is widely used, in large measure because toxic reactions, including gastrointenstinal disturbances, dizziness, tinnitus, malaise, headache, rash, and conjunctival and nasal suffusion, are mild and rarely encountered.

Convulsions Induced by Aminocaproic Acid Infusion
DICP, 1989Aminocaproic acid is a widely used antifibrinolytic agent. Serious adverse effects associated with its use are rare, but we report on a patient with liver disease and cirrhosis who experienced a grand mal seizure during the intravenous administration of aminocaproic acid.
