The recycling of expired aminocaproic acid injection for mint-leaf-like zinc aminocaproate [PDF]

open access: possibleSurface Innovations, 2021
In this work, a zinc (Zn) aminocaproate complex was extracted from expired aminocaproic acid injection by way of one-step facile chemical liquid-phase deposition for the first time, and the morphology, microstructure and electrochemical lithium (Li)-storage performances were also investigated.

Pharmacokinetics of aminocaproic acid in thoroughbred horses

Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2023
AbstractThe antifibrinolytic agent aminocaproic acid (ACA) is occasionally used prior to episodes of intense training in racehorses suffering from exercise‐induced pulmonary hemorrhage. Although a previous study indicated that the drug is cleared rapidly in horses, some racetrack practitioners claim that recent adverse analytical findings for ACA in ...

Cardiovascular studies on aminocaproic acid

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 1966
Abstract The blood pressures of conscious rats and dogs were generally unaffected by single and repeated oral administration of aminocaproic acid. An exception was that renal hypertensive dogs showed a moderate increase in mean pressure 2 hours following a dose of 100 mg/kg.

Aminocaproic Acid-Reply

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1984
In Reply. —The Ophthalmology Journal Club's inquiries are answerable by perusal of our article, by review of the previous literature, and by analysis of some unpublished data. All patients admitted to the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, Chicago, with traumatic hyphema were placed on the study protocol, while the hyphema was active, if ...

Epsilon-Aminocaproic Acid (EACA)

Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, 2008
Epsilon-aminocaproic acid (EACA) is a synthetic inhibitor of the plasmin-plasminogen system. It is the only potent antifibrinolytic agent which is commercially available in the United States. Effective blood levels of the drug are readily obtainable with either oral or intravenous administration, with very high levels of the drug being found in the ...

Recombinant expression, molecular characterization and crystal structure of antitumor enzyme, L-lysine α-oxidase from Trichoderma viride.

Journal of Biochemistry (Tokyo), 2015
L-Lysine α-oxidase (LysOX) from Trichoderma viride is a homodimeric 112 kDa flavoenzyme that catalyzes the oxidative deamination of L-lysine to form α-keto-ε-aminocaproate.

Ionic Liquid Anion Controlled Nanoscale Gold Morphology Grown at a Liquid Interface.

Langmuir, 2017
Two different ionic liquids comprising the tetrabutylphosphonium cation ([P4444]) paired with the strongly coordinating anions 6-aminocaproate ([6-AC]) or taurinate ([tau]) were prepared and employed in an aqueous/organic liquid bilayer system to ...

Covalently functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes at reverse micellar interface: a strategy to improve lipase activity.

Langmuir, 2012
The present work reports covalent functionalization of single-walled carbon nanotubes (f-SWNTs) to introduce hydrophilicity to the otherwise amphiphobic nanotubes.
