Simultaneous determination of p-aminohippuric acid, acetyl-p-aminohippuric acid and iothalamate in human plasma and urine by high-performance liquid chromatography

Journal of Chromatography B: Biomedical Sciences and Applications, 1998
A sensitive and specific high-performance liquid chromatographic assay was developed for the simultaneous determination of p-aminohippuric acid (PAH), acetyl-p-aminohippuric acid (aPAH), and iothalamate in human plasma and urine. Plasma samples were prepared by protein precipitation with acetonitrile followed by evaporation, reconstitution in mobile ...

Determination of p-aminohippuric acid with β-cyclodextrin sensitized fluorescence spectrometry

, 2016
Sensitive spectrofluorometric and liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection methods have been developed for detection and determination of para-aminohippuric acid (PAH), one of the commonly used markers for estimating effective renal plasma flow,

Protein adsorption behavior and immunoglobulin separation with a mixed-mode resin based on p-aminohippuric acid.

Journal of Separation Science, 2014
p-Aminohippuric acid is a newly developed ligand for mixed-mode chromatography with a commercial resin name of Nuvia cPrime. In this study, bovine immunoglobulin G and bovine serum albumin were used as two model proteins, and the adsorption isotherms ...

Influence of the para-aminohippuric acid analysis method on the net hepatic flux of nutrients in lactating cows.

Journal of Animal Science, 2014
Para-aminohippuric acid (pAH) is a marker frequently used to measure plasma or blood flow. In sheep studies, it is recognized that its determination must include a deacetylation step to counteract the hepatic acetylation of pAH.

The metabolism of p-aminohippuric acid and p-acetylamino-hippuric acid

Clinica Chimica Acta, 1967
Abstract p-Aminohippuric acid or p-acetylaminohippuric acid administered to patients orally instead of intravenously as a method to determine their kidney function was found to give erroneously low clearance values. It was found that these compounds lost the glycine moiety by hydrolysis in the alimentary tract and were converted in the tissues to ...

Clearance Determinations After Oral Administration of Para-Aminohippuric Acid [PDF]

open access: possibleScandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, 1950
1) The substance was absorbed and demonstrable in both plasma and urine. 2) The concentrations were of the same Brun, IIilden & Raaschou (.lcta Yed. Scand. 121: 171 : 1917) claim to have demonstrated 110 relative magnitude, but generally lower PXH, either in plasma or in urine, after oral than those observed by Hamburger 8r administration of 4 grams of

Coadsorption of Human Immunoglobulin G and Bovine Serum Albumin on a p-Aminohippuric Acid Based Mixed-Mode Resin

, 2016
Mixed-mode chromatography (MMC) has been developed as a cost-effective new technique for antibody purification. Nuvia cPrime (NP) is a novel MMC resin with p-aminohippuric acid as the functional ligand.

p-Aminohippuric acid accumulation in kidney slices in cloudy swelling

Experientia, 1959

Probenecid infusion in mares: Effect on para-aminohippuric acid clearance

American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1988
SUMMARY Para-aminohippuric acid (paha, 0.1 mg/min/kg of body weight) was infused iv into 2 mares, followed by concurrent iv infusion of paha and probenecid (0.075, 0.15, 0.25, or 0.35 mg of probenecid/min/kg). Probenecid infusion reduced the clearance of paha at serum probenecid concentrations > 55 μg/ml.

Fabrication of a fast, simple and sensitive voltammetric sensor for the simultaneous determination of 4-aminohippuric acid and uric acid using a functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotube modified glassy carbon electrode

, 2012
In the present study, for the first time, a simple and rapid electrochemical sensor was developed for the simultaneous determination of 4-aminohippuric acid (PAH) and uric acid (UA), based on the excellent properties of functionalized multi-walled carbon
