Determination of glyphosate and aminomethylphosphonic acid for assessing the quality tap water using SPE and HPLC

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Technology, 2014
The use of pesticides in agriculture is one of the current problems that may result in contamination of both ground and surface water and groundwater. Considering the environmental importance and the increasing use of herbicides in Maringá region, in the

Aminomethylphosphonic acid alters amphibian embryonic development at environmental concentrations

open access: yesEnvironmental Research, 2020
Despite intense societal and scientific debates regarding glyphosate toxicity, it remains the most widely used herbicide. The primary metabolite of glyphosate, AMPA (aminomethylphosphonic acid), is the main contaminant detected in surface waters worldwide, both because of the extensive use of glyphosate and because of other widespread sources of AMPA ...

Occurrence and Levels of Glyphosate, Chlorate and Perchlorate in Irish Drinking Water: A Pilot Study

open access: yesWater and Environment Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Safe drinking water is a crucial component of public health. Pesticides and disinfection byproducts are known pollutants of concern. This study aimed to investigate the levels of the herbicide glyphosate and disinfection byproducts in Irish drinking water.

Efficient Red Light–Driven Singlet Oxygen Photocatalysis with an Osmium‐Based Coulombic Dyad

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 35, August 25, 2025.
Red light‐absorbing bichromophores with straightforward preparation and superior photocatalytic activity were developed. Spectroscopic studies provided deep insights into the intra‐ion‐pair energy transfer key step and the novel approach. Abstract Photoactive osmium complexes are widely used sensitizers for the generation of singlet oxygen because they

Influence of glyphosate and its metabolite aminomethylphosphonic acid on aquatic plants in different ecological niches

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2022
Glyphosate and its metabolite aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) draw great concern due to their potential threat to aquatic ecosystems. The individual and combined effects of glyphosate and AMPA on aquatic plants in different ecological niches need to be

Electron‐Donating Multifunctional Molecules: A Strategy for High‐Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Multifunctional molecules containing electron‐donating groups are critically important in perovskite solar cells (PSCs), including defect passivation, crystallization modulation, energy level alignment, and other functions. This review systematically examines the application and research progress of such multifunctional molecules in PSCs ...

AM1 and ab initio studies of aminomethylphosphonic acid

open access: yesJournal of Molecular Structure: THEOCHEM, 1991
Abstract The molecular properties of aminomethylphosphonic acid in the zwitterionic and molecular forms were calculated using the AMI and ab initio methods with the STO-3G ∗ , 3-21G ∗ and 6-31G ∗ basis sets at the self-consistent-field and electron-correlation level. It was found that the molecular form of this acid is 10.4 kcal mol −1 more stable

Design of B,N Co‐Doped Carbon Spheres for Highly Effective Back Interface Engineering in Planar Carbon‐Based Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
The energy level mismatch of the perovskite/carbon back interface is decreased remarkably by using B, N co‐doped carbon sphere electrode in C‐PSCs, leading to effective charge carrier separation, extraction, and transport at the back interface. Combined with further buried modification using AMPA, the power conversion efficiency of the C‐PSCs is up to ...

Antibacterial activity and mechanism of action of phosphonopeptides based on aminomethylphosphonic acid [PDF]

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 1982
Phosphonopeptides based on aminomethylphosphonic acid as the C-terminal residue linked to L-amino acids possessed antibacterial activity in vitro and in vivo. Analogs in this series were generally less potent than corresponding compounds based on L-1-aminoethylphosphonic acid such as alafosfalin (L-alanyl-L-1-aminoethylphosphonic acid).
