Nanocrystal tuned ammonia gas sensing technique via impedance spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Ammonia is a harmful chemical hazard known for its widespread industrial use. Exposure to ammonia can cause environmental damage, human health hazards, and huge economic losses. Therefore, ammonia gas sensors are essential for detecting ammonia leaks to avoid serious accidental injury and death.

1D Magnetic Topological Inorganic Electrides

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A series of 1D stable magnetic inorganic electrides are identified by high throughput screening and experimental synthesis. Furthermore, these 1D inorganic electrides exhibit various applications, including spintronics, topological electronics, low work function, electron emission, and high‐performance catalysts for NH3 reductions.

Ionic ammonia ice [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
We report experimental and theoretical evidence that solid molecular ammonia becomes unstable at room temperature and high pressures and transforms into an ionic crystalline form. This material has been characterised in both hydrogenated NH3 and deuterated ND3 ammonia samples up to about 180 and 200 GPa, respectively, by infrared absorption, Raman ...

Preventing Benzoquinone‐Based Catalyst Aggregation Enables the One‐Step Synthesis of Highly Conductive Poly(benzodifurandione) without Post‐Reaction Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
α‐Tocopherylquinone (α‐TQ), the oxidation product of α‐tocopherol (α‐TOH), catalyzes the oxidative polymerization of 3,7‐dihydrobenzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]difuran‐2,6‐dione (HBFDO). The saturated aliphatic chiral side chain of α‐TQ suppresses its crystallization, enabling high‐conductivity polymer ink without needing post‐polymerization dialysis. This scalable

Pairing N‐Vacancy and Adjacent Ni‐Sites in the Local Microenvironment to Regulate the Urea Oxidation Reaction Pathway With Enhanced Kinetics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In nitrogen vacancies‐rich nickel nitride (Ni3N‐VN), a local microenvironment of nitrogen vacancies and adjacent Ni sites is formed. The electron‐rich Ni‐sites can be converted to NiOOH at a lower potential, and urea adsorption on the electron‐deficient nitrogen vacancy region is conducive to its partial dissociation, conceiving to efficient urea ...
