Multifunctional Tailoring of Fertilizer Composites Directly Derived From Phosphate Rock
A novel phosphorus‑sulfur mixed acid with urea (PSU) activation system converts low‑grade phosphate rock (LPR) into multifunctional fertilizer composites (MFCs). MFCs feature porous structures, high nutrient‑activation efficiency, superior slow‑release, and enhanced crop growth, offering a sustainable solution for integrated nutrient management and ...

Ammoniated Forage Poisoning: Concentrations of Alkylimidazoles in Ammoniated Forage and in Milk, Plasma and Urine in Sheep and Cow [PDF]
4-methylimidazolc (4-MeI) has until now been the only identified toxic compound in ammoniated forage considered to be of possible etiological significance in ammoniated forage poisoning. However, several authors have concluded that 4-MeI alone cannot explain the toxicity observed (Morgan & Edwards 1986, Nielsen et al 1986, Motoi et at. 1997).

Advances in second‐generation biofuel production from rice straw and barley straw
Abstract This review critically examines recent advances in the use of rice straw and barley straw as lignocellulosic feedstocks for second‐generation biofuel production. A comprehensive analysis of their chemical composition, including cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, and ash content, reveals how these intrinsic properties affect the efficiency of ...

Boosting Iodine Capture via Ammonization of a Multicomponent‐Based Covalent Organic Framework
Adsorption‐based iodine capture offers an effective strategy for managing radioactive nuclear waste. In this study, a carboxylic acid–functionalized covalent organic framework (COF─COOH) was synthesized via a multicomponent Doebner reaction and postsynthetically modified with aqueous ammonia to produce an ionic framework, [COF─COO−][NH4]+.
