Two‐Photon 3D Printing of Functional Microstructures Inside Living Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates 3D printing inside living cells by using two‐photon photo‐lithography. A bio‐compatible photoresist is injected into cells and selectively polymerized with a femtosecond laser, creating custom‐shaped intracellular structures with submicron resolution.

An ammonium/bis-ammonium switchable molecular shuttle

Tetrahedron, 2008
A pH shuttle has been developed in which the mean position of the macrocycle can be switched between dialkylammonium stations of differing acidities. With only the most basic binding site protonated (dibenzylammonium), the macrocycle resides almost exclusively on the protonated station; when the second ammonium group (diethylammonium) is generated by ...

The vapor phase dissociation of ammonium salts: Ammonium halides, ammonium rhodanide, ammonium nitrate, and ammonium bicarbonate

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1982
Vapor pressures as a function of temperature of the ammonium salts are measured by means of a simultaneous torsion effusion and mass-loss effusion technique. From a theoretical analysis, which is given first, it is shown that the enthalpies of sublimation and the degree of dissociation b in the vapor phase are related to the measured quantities.
