Review of Ammonium Chloride–Water Solution Properties

Journal of Chemical and Engineering Data, 2018
Ammonium chloride is commonly used as a buffer solution to control pH levels in a wide variety of chemical and medical applications and is also used as a fertilizer because it acts as a sufficient source of nitrogen for the soil. More recently it is used

Ammonium chloride and viral penetration

Archiv fr die gesamte Virusforschung, 1967
Quantitation of the effect of NH4Cl on viral penetration was done under conditions of single-cycle replication in a system using Krebs-2 ascites cells and influenza virus, which produces only unassembled viral structural protein. Penetration was measured by neutralization of adsorbed virus in the presence or absence of NH4Cl and comparison of yields of

Baking ‘crumbly’ carbon nitrides with improved photocatalytic properties using ammonium chloride

, 2016
Ammonium chloride can serve as a green, unreactive and reusable template to prepare heptazine-based graphitic carbon nitrides with surface areas up to 30 m2 g−1 and up to 6 times higher photocatalytic activity, by a simplified procedure that comprises ...

Experimental charge density evidence for pnicogen bonding in a crystal of ammonium chloride.

ChemPhysChem, 2015
Chemical binding in crystalline ammonium chloride, a simple inorganic salt with an unexpectedly complex bonding pattern, was studied by using a topological analysis of electron density function derived from high-resolution X-ray diffraction. Supported by

The Dissociation of Ammonium Chloride

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1944
Two values for the standard free energy of dissociation of ammonium chloride into ammonia and hydrogen chloride, calculated by two independent paths, are 21,860 cal. and 21,780 cal. at 298.1°K. The good agreement serves as additional evidence for the complete dissociation of ammonium chloride in the vapor phase.

On the thermal conductivity of ammonium- and deutero-ammonium chloride

Physics Letters A, 1969
Abstract Measurements of the thermal conductivity of NH 4 - and ND 4 Cl for the temperature range 2°–300°K are presented. There is a first order phase transition in NH 4 - and probably a second order transition in ND 4 Cl.

Poly-benzylic ammonium chloride resins as solid catalysts for fructose dehydration.

ChemSusChem, 2014
5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) is one of the most promising platform molecules, and can be converted into a variety of interesting chemicals. The production of HMF is essentially targeted at bulk chemicals downstream, such as chemicals for the fuels and ...
