Abstract BACKGROUND Climate change and population growth are major challenges for sustainable food production, particularly in regions affected by water scarcity and soil salinization. In this context, halophytes represent promising candidates as alternative and sustainable food crops for salt‐affected areas.

THE REACTION BETWEEN AMMONIUM OXALATE AND IODINE
The reaction between ammonium oxalate and iodine has been studied both in light and in dark: The results obtained are similar to those obtained in the case of potassium oxalate and iodine. Thus, in dark the reaction is unimolecular with respect to iodine and ammonium oxalate. but becomes semi-molecular with respect to iodine in light.

Influence of presence of ammonium in the hydrothermal illitization of smectite [PDF]
During diagenesis, several reactions induce changes both in phyllosilicates and organic matter, which in basins associated to the production of hydrocarbons leads to ammonium fixation in illite and micas [1] and to dissolution induced by organic acids [

Impacts of reindeer grazing on phosphorus sorption and nutrient availability in a tundra site
Reindeer Rangifer tarandus, a large circumpolar herbivore, can influence whether nitrogen (N) or phosphorus (P) is the primary limiting nutrient in tundra plant communities. Specifically, findings from a site in northern Scandinavia suggest that under conditions where reindeer grazing stimulates inorganic N availability, grazing may drive ecosystems ...

Effects of Al substitution on goethite formation [PDF]
Goethites containing up to 32.7 mole % Al were synthesized and characterized through diffractometry, spectrometry, DSC and chemical techniques. Results indicate that crystal growth was favoured or hindered depending on the percentage of aluminum ...
