Treatment performance and microbial community under ammonium sulphate wastewater in a sulphate reducing ammonium oxidation process

Environmental Technology, 2020
A laboratory testing of simultaneous removal of ammonium and sulphate was studied from the sulphate reducing ammonium oxidation (SRAO) process in a circulating flow completely anaerobic bioreactor. Three different stages of starting SRAO process were studied, and final batch tests analysis of SRAO process was conducted.

Crystallization kinetics of ammonium sulphate

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1973
Abstract Nucleation and growth rates of ammonium sulphate in aqueous solution are measured by several different techniques and comparisons are made. Traces of Cr 3+ suppress both nucleation and growth and modify the crystal habit.

Crystallisation of mixtures of ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulphate and soot

Journal of Aerosol Science, 1998
Crystallisation of laboratory aerosols of ammonium nitrate and of internal mixtures of this salt with ammonium sulphate were investigated using humidity controlled nephelometry. The aerosol was produced via nebulizing of solutions and then dried to 25% RH, which is a realistic minimum value for ambient air. Pure ammonium nitrate and aerosols consisting

The efficiency of ammonium sulphate as a fertiliser

The Journal of Agricultural Science, 1923
Field experiments with maize at the Bahtim Experimental Station and laboratory tests indicate that the lower efficiency of ammonium sulphate as compared with nitrate of soda is due principally under these special conditions to the liberation of ammonia from the fertiliser in contact with an alkaline soil.

Purification of IgG from serum with caprylic acid and ammonium sulphate precipitation is not superior to ammonium sulphate precipitation alone

Comparative Immunology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, 1989
Immunoglobulin G (IgG) from bovine serum raised against Aeromonas Salmonicida was purified by ammonium sulphate precipitation (ASP) or caprylic acid treatment followed by ammonium sulphate precipitation (CAAS). Purity of IgG samples prepared by both methods were examined by High Performance Gel Permeation Chromatography, electrophoresis and antibody ...

Thermal decomposition of ammonium sulphate

Journal of Applied Chemistry, 1970
AbstractThe thermal decomposition and vaporisation of ammonium sulphate, (NH4)2SO4, is shown to take place via two distinct sets of reactions. In the first, ammonium pyrosulphate, (NH4)2S2O7, is the primary condensed phase product: 2(NH4)2SO4 ← (NH4)2S2O7+2NH3+H2OThe second stage concerns the decomposition of the pyrosulphate. Ammonia, sulphur dioxide,

Paramagnetic Resonance in Vanadous Ammonium Sulphate

Proceedings of the Physical Society. Section A, 1951
In the solid state the orbital momentum of the divalent vanadium ion 3d3 is quenched by the cubic crystalline field, leaving a spin quadruplet as the ground state. Paramagnetic resonance measurements show that in V(NH4)2(SO4)2.6H2O this is split into two doublets with a separation of 0.36 cm-1 by a component of the crystalline field with rhombic ...

The fractionation of diphtheria toxoid by means of ammonium sulphate

Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, 1963
At high toxoid concentrations as well as at low pH values the curves of the salting out process of diphtheria toxoid with ammonium sulphate have the classical S shape. At lower toxoid concentrations and at a pH value a little below 7 or above it, a part of the curve is horizontal or in some cases even descends.

Gradient ammonium sulphate fractionation of galactomannans

Food Hydrocolloids, 1996
Abstract Water-soluble locust bean and guar gum galactomannans were fractionated by a graded ammonium sulphate precipitation technique. Locust bean gum galactomannans yielded five fractions obtained at 20, 30, 45, 80 and 100% saturation with (NH4)2SO4. The yields of the fractions based on the total material recovered after fractionation) were 3.0, 60.

Paramagnetic dispersion in vanadous ammonium sulphate

Physica, 1940
