Studies on O-acetyl-glucomannans from Amorphophallus species: Comparison of fine structure

Food Hydrocolloids, 2020
Abstract The present study mainly elucidated fine structural information of four O-acetyl-glucomannans (AcGMs) from Amorphophallus rivirei (konjac), A. albus, and two local types of A. bulbifer (wild type M and wild type B), which were named as KGM, AGM, MGM, and BGM, respectively.

Molecular detection of Pectobacterium species causing soft rot of Amorphophallus konjac

World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2010
Soft rot disease of Amorphophallus konjac is caused by Pectobacterium species. Infected corms are considered a primary and important source of inocula. Based on the 16S rDNA sequences of the soft rot pathogens, one pair of specific primers was designed to identify the soft rot disease by real-time PCR and the other two were used to identify the ...

[Detection of konjac glucomannan in seven Amorphophallus Blume species].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 1998
Seven Amorphophallus species were detected for konjac glucomananam (KGM). It has been found out that A. albus, A. konjac, A. yuloensis, A. xemengensis and A. dunnii are of higher contents of KGM (30%), but A. sinensis and A. yunnanensis are not as further comfirmed by TLC analysis. It follows that A. albus, A. konjac, A. yuloensis, A. xemengensis and A.
