A Novel Drug‐Loaded Porous Parylene Electrode for Targeted Anti‐Inflammatory Therapy and Hearing Preservation in Cochlear Implantation

Advanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A porous parylene‐coated electrode loaded with dexamethasone was developed to reduce inflammation after cochlear implantation. In guinea pigs, the device provided sustained drug release, maintained biocompatibility, improved auditory brainstem response thresholds, and reduced inflammatory cell infiltration and TNF‐α expression.

Rare‐Earth–Functionalized Carbon Dot Hydrogels as Mechanically Robust Antibacterial Wound Dressings

The schematic depicts a dynamically cross‐linked PVA hydrogel network in which reversible borate ester bonds and hydrogen‐bonding interactions integrate lanthanum‐doped carbon dots (La‐CDs) and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate (DPG) to form a mechanically robust, multifunctional matrix.

Biphasic Co‐Delivery of Curcumin and 5‐FU using 3D‐Printed Dissolving Microneedles for Skin Cancer Therapy

Using pixel‐aware digital light processing, the authors created high‐resolution, dissolvable microneedles from a PEGDA/VP matrix. These microneedles encapsulate curcumin and 5‐fluorouracil and dissolve in the skin, co‐delivering drugs directly to tumours.
