Implant Placement and Immediate Provisionalization After Alveolar Ridge Reconstruction in the Aesthetic Zone Using a Digital Workflow: A 1‐Year Prospective Case Series Study

open access: yesClinical Oral Implants Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction In single‐tooth replacement in the aesthetic zone, extensive bone defects require alveolar ridge reconstruction. A digital workflow involving CBCT and intraoral optical scanning enables a three‐dimensional assessment, prosthetically driven implant positioning, computer‐assisted implant surgery, and prefabrication of a temporary ...

Trueness of Dental Implant Placement Using Dynamic Navigation or Non‐Guided Approach by Novice Surgeons: A Randomized, Controlled Clinical Trial

open access: yesClinical Oral Implants Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To compare the trueness of implant placement in novice surgeons using dynamic computer‐assisted implant surgery (d‐CAIS) versus a non‐guided approach, assessing surgery time efficiency and patient‐reported outcomes, including satisfaction, postoperative pain, and quality of life. Epicutaneous and Drug Provocation Testing in Severe Cutaneous Adverse Reactions: A 20‐Year Single‐Centre Experience

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, EarlyView.
This study provides reassuring evidence in favour of early skin testing in patients with SCARs, argues against the necessity of a 6‐month delay, and underscores the pivotal role of oral provocation tests in the safe reintroduction of essential therapies. Constitutional symptoms and response to Penicillin G in erysipelas and cellulitis – a monocentric, retrospective, explorative study

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Background: Erysipelas, caused by streptococci, should be treated with penicillin, while uncomplicated cellulitis (phlegmon), often caused by Staphylococcus aureus, requires penicillinase‐resistant beta‐lactam antibiotics, which have a higher risk of adverse effects. Distinguishing between these infections is important.
