Screening of Ampelomyces quisqualis Isolates Hyperparasite on the Tobacco Powdery Mildew Fungus

2012 International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology, 2012
12 isolates of Ampelomyces quisqualis from different sources were in vitro inoculated to the center of the powdery mildew colonies on the diseased tobacco leaves, and two parameter values of pathogenicity scales and virulence of Ampelomyces isolates were obtained by counting the numbers of pycnidia and by measuring mycoparasited area on powdery mildew ...

Ampelomyces quisqualis Ces., ein Parasit auf Mucorineen

Archiv fr Mikrobiologie, 1968

Water agarose medium for studying factors affecting germination of conidia of Ampelomyces quisqualis

Mycological Research, 1997
On water agarose conidial germination of Ampelomyces quisqualis was greatly enhanced in the presence of powdery mildew conidia. All seven species of powdery mildews tested, representing five genera, were effective in increasing germination of the mycoparasite.

Stimulation of conidial germination of the hyperparasite Ampelomyces quisqualis

2014
This research has focused on novel tools for exploring future application of A. quisqualis in biological control of powdery mildew. For this purpose, identification of specific mechanisms to increase the biocontrol efficiency is considered to be a good method. Thus, some attempts were made to enhance the efficacy of different strains of A.

OCCURRENCE OF AMPELOMYCES QUISQUALIS ON THE CUCURBIT POWDERY MILDEW SPECIES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Acta Horticulturae, 2010
From 2002 to 2006, in the Czech Republic (CR), 585 leaf samples with powdery mildew symptoms collected from cucurbits (mainly from Cucurbita pepo, Cucurbita maxima, Cucumis sativus) were microscopically examinated for presence of hyperparasitic fungus Ampelomyces quisqualis Ces. (Aq).

Ampelomyces quisqualis for Biological and Integrated Control of Powdery Mildews in Israel

Journal of Phytopathology, 1989
AbstractAn isolate of Ampelomyces quisqualis obtained from a Oidium sp. infecting Catha edulis in Israel, proved to be infective to several powdery mildew fungi belonging to the genera Oidium, Erysiphe, Sphaerotheca, Podosphaera, Uncinula, and Leveillula. In field trials, A.

Partial Control of Grape Powdery Mildew by the MycoparasiteAmpelomyces quisqualis

Plant Disease, 1995
Ampelomyces quisqualis normally infects senescent colonies of Uncinula necator in late summer. Our objective was to introduce the mycoparasite at the start of an epidemic, and thereby reduce the rate of disease increase. Prior to establishing field trials, isolates of A.

Parasitism ofUncinula necatorCleistothecia by the MycoparasiteAmpelomyces quisqualis

Phytopathology, 1995
Parasitism of Uncinula necator cleistothecia by the mycoparasite Ampelomyces quisqualis was widespread in the Vitaceae around New York State. Although A. quisqualis did not survive in naturally parasitized U. necator cleistothecia on grape leaves, it did overwinter in parasitized cleistothecia on the bark of grapevines.
