The co‐occurrence of two powdery mildew species on Cannabis sativa in the Czech Republic

Abstract In late summer 2022 and 2023, powdery mildew symptoms were found on female plants of hemp (Cannabis sativa) growing in a private garden in Hradec nad Moravicí (Silesia, Czech Republic). On the upper sides of the leaves, white powdery colonies were observed which coalesced and finally covered the whole leaf surface.

Endophytic Bacillus subtilis Strain E1R‐J Is a Promising Biocontrol Agent for Wheat Powdery Mildew

In this study, the biocontrol efficacies of 14 endophytic bacterial strains were tested against Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici (Bgt) in pot experiments under greenhouse conditions. Bacillus subtilis strain E1R‐j significantly reduced disease index and exhibited the best control (90.97%).

Ampelomyces quisqualis – a remarkable mycoparasite on Cucucrbita maxima powdery mildew from Satara (M.S.) India

During routine mycological survey in Satara district of Maharashtra, India. A powdery mildew infection was observed on Cucurbita maxima Duchesne. Microscopic examinations revealed the identity of powdery mildew as Fibroidium sp. During mycological examinations powdery mildew infection was found to be mixed with brownish intercellular pycnidia.
