Cushion‐Maskant‐Regulated Interfacial Chemistry Enables Durable Zinc Metal Anodes

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 1, January 2026.
A rationally engineered buffer electrolyte is devised, in which molecules acting as a cushion maskant (CM) spontaneously adsorb on the Zn anode to modulate ion behavior and suppress corrosion while its protonation–deprotonation equilibria buffer interfacial pH, markedly prolonging cycle life.

Rules of Thumb for Estimating Drug Levels in Breast Milk: How Well Do They Work?

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 119, Issue 1, Page 101-108, January 2026.
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life due to extensive benefits for the maternal–infant dyad. While over 90% of mothers initiate breastfeeding, continuation drops to 35% by 6 months, often due to concerns about medication safety.

Solid‐Phase Extraction of Pb2+ on Multicomponent Oxide Coupled to Portable 3D‐Printed Electrochemical Microcell Using Boron‐Doped Diamond Electrode

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 38, Issue 1, January 2026.
A preconcentration method for Pb2+ coupling solid‐phase extraction (SPE) using SiO2/TiO2/ Sb2O5 with a portable 3D‐printed electrochemical microcell was developed. A multivariate optimization using a fractional factorial design 24‐1 with a central point was carried out.

Isomerization of α‐Pinene Oxide to Trans‐Pinocarveol

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, Volume 109, Issue 1, January 2026.
An operationally simple protocol for the selective isomerization of α‐pinene oxide (APO) to trans‐pinocarveol (TPC) is disclosed, which leverages inexpensive pyridinium‐halide organocatalysts to mitigate competing 1,2‐alkyl shifts. The scalability of this methodology is demonstrated on a decagram scale and catalyst‐recycling is validated through the ...
