NSP7 Molecular Degrader Attenuates Coronaviral Infection Through the β‐TrCP1/FBXO5 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Host E3 ligase FBXO5 as a key regulator that promotes K48‐linked ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of SARS‐CoV‐2 NSP7, thereby suppressing viral replication. NSP7 ubiquitination is co‐regulated by β‐TrCP1 and TAF1. Small molecule BC24877 disrupts β‐TrCP1‐mediated degradation of FBXO5, stabilizing FBXO5 and enhancing NSP7 clearance ...

Dysfunctional Decidual CD4+T Cells Induce Recurrent Pregnancy Loss via Palmitoylation‐Dependent Tim‐3 Lysosomal Sorting and Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dysfunctional decidual CD4+T cells induce recurrent pregnancy loss via palmitoylation‐dependent Tim‐3 lysosomal sorting and degradation. The integrated bioinformatics, proteomic, functional and model studies elucidate that Tim‐3 is palmitoylated by ZDHHC3 at Cys9. Sortilin bound to and directed palmitoylated Tim‐3 toward lysosome degradation, resulting

Antibiotics and antifungals in silicone oil

open access: yesInternational Journal of Retina and Vitreous, 2019
Background Antimicrobials may be injected into silicone oil-filled eyes with endophthalmitis, but the interaction with oil is unclear. The purpose of the experiment is to determine whether vancomycin, amikacin, and amphotericin B mix with silicone oil ...

The Role of CAF‐derived Vitronectin in Promoting Colorectal Cancer Progression and Immunosuppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer‐associated fibroblast (CAF)‐derived VTN upregulates SLC6A8 expression in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells and macrophages through enhanced FAK phosphorylation. This modulation significantly increases the cellular uptake of creatine and ATP, promoting cancer progression and macrophage polarization.

The Effect of Ketoconazole on Amphotericin B in a Model of Disseminated Aspergillosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The potential of ketoconazole prophylaxis to antagonize the activity of amphotericin B against aspergilli was investigated in vitro and in neutropenic mice. Exposure of Aspergillus fumigatus (six strains) and of Aspergillus flavus or Aspergillus niger to

Circulating Tumor Cells Shed Shearosome Extracellular Vesicles in Capillary Bifurcations That Activate Endothelial and Immune Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using microfluidic models of capillary networks, this study discovered that fluid shear stresses on circulating tumor cells transiting through capillary‐sized bifurcations shed a novel class of shear‐dependent large extracellular vesicle, “shearosomes”, whose proteome comprises of over 3000 distinct proteins.
