Evaluation of Pediatric and Young Adult Cancer Survivors at Risk of Long‐Term Kidney Complications

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Nephrotoxic chemotherapy, nephrectomy, abdominal radiotherapy exposure, and the presence of kidney or pelvic tumors are risk factors associated with long‐term kidney complications. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of long‐term kidney complications in patients who survived pediatric and young adult cancer and were exposed

Investigation of antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant activities in novel poly(DEAEMA‐co‐EMA)/polyindole composites

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of prepared poly(DEAEMA‐co‐EMA)/PIN composities and 3D AFM image. Abstract In the current study, in the first stage, amphiphilic poly(2‐diethylamino ethylmethacrylate‐co‐ethyl methacrylate) [Poly(DEAEMA‐co‐EMA)] was synthesized from the 2‐diethylamino ethylmethacrylate (DEAEMA) and the ethyl methacrylate (EMA) using the free ...

Tunable Release of Ions from Graphene Oxide Laminates for Sustained Antibacterial Activity in a Biomimetic Environment

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A slow and longer‐term delivery of silver ions for sustained antimicrobial activity is developed by incorporating silver ions within the 2D nanocapillaries of GO laminates. The controlled release of silver ions from these laminates has provided sustained antimicrobial activity for more than 10 days in a biomimetic environment.
