Plasmonics‐Enhanced Characterization of Cervid PrP (87–114) Fragment Aggregates in Solution

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
Multimodal nanophotonics platform combining plasmon‐enhanced imaging, label‐free SERS, and optical staining reveals new insights into the aggregation of the cervid PrP (87–114) fragment, an amyloidogenic sequence linked to chronic wasting disease susceptibility.

Genetic Diversity of Musa balbisiana Colla in Indonesia Based on AFLP Marker

open access: yesHayati Journal of Biosciences, 2014
Musa balbisiana Colla, known as Pisang Klutuk/Pisang Batu, is important for banana breeding program due to its B genome and often considered to be resistant to pest, disease and drought. Banana is a big and tall herb up to 7-9 m in height.

Characterization of the polymorphism detected for the granule‐bound starch synthase (WX gene) in wild einkorn wheat

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND The WX gene encodes the granule‐bound starch synthase I or waxy protein, which is the sole enzyme responsible for amylose synthesis in wheat seeds. Wild einkorn wheat (Triticum monococcum L. ssp. aegilopoides Link em. Thell.) could be an important source of variation for this gene. RESULTS This study assessed the WX gene variability

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV): A Comprehensive Overview From Basic Biology to Clinical Prevention and Control

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common virus that causes respiratory infections, posing a serious threat, particularly to infants, the elderly, and individuals with compromised immune systems. As the leading cause of lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs) in infants, RSV is responsible for millions of cases worldwide each year.

A population genetics perspective on the evolutionary histories of three clonal, endemic, and dominant grass species of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau: Orinus (Poaceae)

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, 2019
We performed analyses of amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) in order to characterize the evolutionary history of Orinus according to its population genetic structure, as well as to investigate putative hybrid origins of O.

Two‐Dimensional Transition Metal Dichalcogenides Properties Enhanced by Nano‐ and Micro‐Scale Shape Control

open access: yesMetalMat, EarlyView.
This review explores current strategies for shaping two‐dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) beyond their planar form. It highlights how strain engineering, nanopatterning, and growth on complex substrates modulate their mechanical, optical, and electronic properties.

Veronica paczoskiana is no more than a pine forest ecotype of V. spicata that evolved independently in forest‐steppes of Ukraine and the Altai region

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
The Eurasian steppe area has been a dynamic vegetation biome during the Pleistocene with its repeated cycles of forest advances and retreats. Such a scenario allows the evolution of ecotypes at the ecotone with the potential for parallel evolution in different parts of the distribution area.
