A 90° Waveguide Hybrid with Low Amplitude Imbalance in Full W-Band

This paper reports a high-performance 90° waveguide hybrid coupler working in the full W-band. We demonstrate an 8-branch hybrid which features the low amplitude imbalance over a wide band by first increasing the waveguide height inwards and second introducing waveguide height discontinuity sections on the other inner side.

In this paper, a new method for detecting some errors in resolver signals is presented. Sin and cosine signals in resolver to digital converter's (RDC's) input might have errors, such as amplitude imbalance, imperfect quadrant or DC offset. This paper analyses the performance of M—QAM and M—PSK modulation schemes after frequency conversion using analogue quadrature hybrid circuits. In particular, the effects of carrier feed-through, quadrature phase error, amplitude imbalance, DC offset in the I and Q channels of the quadrature hybrid circuit are investigated.
