Calculation of universal amplitude ratios in three-loop order [PDF]
For the universality class of three-dimensional Ising systems the ratio of the high- and low-temperature amplitudes for the correlation length and for the susceptibility are universal quantities. They can be calculated by renormalized perturbation theory for scalar $ϕ^4$ theory in fixed dimensions $D=3$ in the symmetric phase and in the phase of broken

Signal-to-Noise Ratio in Amplitude Quantizers [PDF]
A general analysis is made of the relationship between the output signal and noise powers and input signal and noise powers for a 2N-step, symmetric amplitude quantizer. The input to the quantizer is assumed to consist of a sinusoidal signal and zero mean Gaussian noise.

A new class of short distance universal amplitude ratios [PDF]
We propose a new class of universal amplitude ratios which involve the first terms of the short distance expansion of the correlators of a statistical model in the vicinity of a critical point. We will describe the critical system with a conformal field theory (UV fixed point) perturbed by an appropriate relevant operator.

Influence of Nose-slenderness Ratio on Air Pressure Pulse of High-speed Trains Passing Each Other
The strength of side windows, the stability of train operation, and the comfort of passengers will be affected by air pressure fluctuations when the high-speed train meets.

Sand box experiments to evaluate the influence of subsurface temperature probe design on temperature based water flux calculation [PDF]
Quantification of subsurface water fluxes based on the one dimensional solution to the heat transport equation depends on the accuracy of measured subsurface temperatures.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an
