The development and testing of an imaging total-power millimeter-wave radiometer operating at 10.7, 19.35, 37.1, and 85.5 GHz are described. The instrument, referred to as the advanced microwave precipitation radiometer (AMPR), is designed to be flown onboard NASA's ER-2 high-altitude research aircraft in support of atmospheric precipitation and storm ...

The transcriptional regulator of the Citrobacter freundii ampC beta‐lactamase gene, AmpR, was purified as a single SDS/PAGE‐gel band by using various techniques, including DNA‐Sepharose 4B affinity chromatography. The purified AmpR consisted of a 32.5 kDa monomer that interacted with three operator sequences: two binding sequences, at positions −75 to −

Hyperproduction of AmpC beta-lactamase (AmpC) is a formidable mechanism of resistance to penicillins and cephalosporins in Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacteriaceae. AmpC expression is regulated by the LysR-type transcriptional regulator AmpR.

The Advanced Microwave Precipitation Radiometer (AMPR) was deployed during the Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere (TOGA) Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Response Experiment (COARE) from January 4 to February 24, 1993. The configuration of the AMPR instrument limited the scanning angle to 45 degrees left and right of nadir.
