Egg carotenoproteins in neotropical Ampullariidae (Gastropoda: Arquitaenioglossa)
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part C: Toxicology & Pharmacology, 2007Carotenoid-binding proteins are commonly found in invertebrates. Their carotenoids form non-covalent complexes with proteins giving tissues a variety of colors. In molluscs they have been described in only a few species. In particular, the egg perivitellin fluid of those Ampullariid species which deposit eggs above the waterline is provided with ...

The mitochondrial genome of Pomacea maculata (Gastropoda: Ampullariidae)
Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2015The golden apple snail, Pomacea maculata Perry, 1810 (Gastropoda: Ampullariidae) is one of the most serious invasive alien species from the native range of South America. The mitochondrial genome of P. maculata (15 516 bp) consists of 37 genes (13 protein-coding genes, two rRNAs, and 22 tRNAs) and a non-coding region with a 16 bp repeat unit.

The complete mitochondrial genome of Pomacea canaliculata (Gastropoda: Ampullariidae)
Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014The mitochondrial genome of Pomacea canaliculata (Gastropoda: Ampullariidae) is the first complete mtDNA sequence reported in the genus Pomacea. The total length of mtDNA is 15,707 bp, which containing 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs, and a 359 bp non-coding region.

Comparative mitogenome analysis on species of four apple snails (Ampullariidae: Pomacea)
International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2018The genus Pomacea contains most of the economically important Ampullariid apple snails. Five Pomacea species were reported introduced out of their native ranges, including three highly invasive species, i.e. P. maculata, P. canaliculata and an unidentified species, Pomacea sp. In this study, the mitogenome of P.

Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014
We report the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of the giant ramshorn snail Marisa cornuarietis, a biocontrol agent of freshwater weeds and snail vectors of schistosomes. The mitogenome is 15,923 bp in length, encoding 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNAs and 2 ribosomal RNAs.
