Pharmacogenetic Implementation Studies—Lessons Learned From the PREPARE Study

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
The Ubiquitous Pharmacogenomics consortium (www.upgx.eu) has recently completed and published the Preemptive Pharmacogenomic Testing for Preventing Adverse Drug Reactions (PREPARE) study on the implementation of panel‐based pharmacogenetic testing. PREPARE has provided interesting lessons for the design, execution, and interpretation of future clinical

Elemental Trade‐Off in the Selective Electro‐Oxidation of Ethylene Glycol on Palladium‐Silver/Nickel Electrodes

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
Connect 4: Tuning the surface composition of Pd‐Ag electrodes on nickel foam enables the four‐electron oxidation of ethylene glycol to glycolic acid in high yields. The electrochemical reaction is tested under batch and industrially realistic flow conditions. For the latter, the Pd–Ni electrode yields >80% selectivity to glycolate for over 140 h.
