A Plasmonic Biohybrid With an Intracellular Biogenic S‐Scheme Nano‐Heterojunction Toward Wide‐Spectrum Solar‐To‐Chemical Conversion Beyond Nature

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 8, August 2026.
Bioinorganic hybrids show promise for solar‐to‐chemical conversion, yet are limited by poor light absorption and charge separation. A plasmonic biohybrid (CuS/CdS@yeast), featuring an intracellular S‐scheme heterojunction to achieve efficient electron‐hole separation, is fabricated via in‐situ mineralization for wide‐spectrum solar‐to‐chemical ...

Deep Mutational Scanning for the Study and Engineering of Protein Assemblies

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
This review explores how deep mutational scanning (DMS) can be used to improve understanding and accelerate engineering of protein assemblies, from natural fibers to engineered nanocages. We discuss various types of protein assemblies and their characterization, provide an introduction to the DMS technique, and then highlight examples in which DMS has ...

Discontinuing Long‐Term Denosumab in Treating Fragile Bone: Why, for Whom, and How?

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 120, Issue 2, Page 334-344, August 2026.
Discontinuation of denosumab (Dmab) may be necessary due to adverse events or an unfavorable long‐term risk–benefit profile. However, accumulating evidence demonstrates pronounced rebound phenomena after withdrawal, most notably a marked increase in multiple vertebral fractures, and, in some reports, elevated mortality.
