SUMMARY Implantation of 36 mg. of a protein anabolic agent, zeranol,a produced significant growth response in feedlot steers, feedlot heifers, suckling beef calves, growing cattle, and veal calves. In feedlot steers and heifers a significant improvement in feed conversion was obtained.
