Chlorobenzene biodegradation under consecutive aerobicâanaerobic conditions [PDF]
The biodegradation of monochlorobenzene, the main contaminant in a quaternary aquifer at Bitterfeld, Central Germany, was studied in microcosm experiments employing either original groundwater or defined mineral media together with the indigenous microbial community from the polluted site. The impact of consecutive aerobic-anaerobic-aerobic incubations

Methane Generation Using an Anaerobic Biodigester From Waste Leachate Water
ABSTRACT Leachate wastewater (LWW) is characterized by slow biodegradation and low biogas production due to resistant materials and limited biological activity. Therefore, applying pretreatments is essential to improving biodegradation potential, which consequently boosts energy recovery.

ANAEROBIC BIODEGRADATION OF A BIODEGRADABLE MATERIAL UNDER ANAEROBIC - THERMOPHILIC DIGESTION
This paper dertermined the anaerobic biodegradation of a polymer obtained by extrusion process of native cassava starch, polylactic acid and polycaprolactone. Initially a thermophilic - methanogenic inoculum was prepared from urban solid waste. The gas final methane concentration and medium’s pH reached values of 59,6% and 7,89 respectively.
