A novel Bifidobacterium breve strain, Yang08, is isolated to counter its depletion in atopic dermatitis. In mice, live Yang08 requires an intact gut microbiota to exert protection, specifically enriching Akkermansia muciniphila and potently inhibiting pathogenic neutrophil activation and NETosis in the skin.

Proton FLASH Exposure Preserves Gut Commensal Microbiomes and Spares Intestinal Stem Cells
This study highlights the role of Proton FLASH abdominal irradiation in sparing of intestinal stem cells and preservation of key gut microbial population resulting minimization of radiation toxicity in intestinal epithelium in mice. Our findings support the potential of Proton FLASH to improve the therapeutic ratio for abdominal radiation exposure ...

Effect of training on the anaerobic capacity.
Intense exercise of short duration is heavily dependent on energy from anaerobic sources, and subjects successful in anaerobic types of sports may therefore have a larger anaerobic capacity and be able to release energy at a higher rate. Performances in these kinds of sports are improved by training, suggesting that the anaerobic capacity is trainable.

The engineered TF‐Fe@LC nanoplatform programs paraptotic death via multipath ROS amplification that disrupts redox homeostasis, provoking mitochondrial dysfunction, autophagic blockade, and ER stress. This caspase‐independent process elicits robust immunogenic cell death, combining with αPD‐L1 to activate systemic CD8+ T‐cell immunity and suppress ...
